Ahhh… April! I loved changing that calendar heading in my classroom yesterday. Our spring break is the week after next. It’s so close, I can taste it. And it tastes like an iced caramel macchiato made with soy. And it tastes very amazing.
Anyway, here is my April Currently:
Listening: My pups are playing. They are always playing. I like it a lot.
Loving: Like I said in the beginning, spring break is so close. Now, there is only one Monday, one Tuesday, and one Wednesday until break. I may or may not have started this post last night when it actually made sense that I would love having only one Monday and one Tuesday. Ooops.
Thinking: I have to take half a personal day for the afternoon on Monday. I’m presenting my portfolio to the committee for grad school. I’m very nervous about it and really need to sit myself down to review the questions and review my portfolio so that I actually know what I’m talking about. After that though, I only have one class session left and a few assignments to finish up. Masters is so close!
Wanting: Ice cream. I always want ice cream. I have a thing for sweets. It’s pretty bad. I may or may not have just had mint chocolate chip frozen yogurt. The fact that yogurt is in the name of this delicious treat makes me feel healthier.
Needing: Sleep. I’m so tired this week. My allergies are really wearing me down. Plus, with our upper grades testing this week and next, we’ve had to switch our specials time and recess time and it has really messed up our routine. Makes me one sleepy girl!
Hours & Last Day: That’s the actual school time. We report thirty minutes before and after. Next year, our school day is extended 21 minutes so it will be slightly different.
Happy April everyone!
